IBM Sales Model CoE - SC&T CoE Business Analyst =============================== Job description ---------------------- Job Objective: Employees in this role have to develop tools using VBA and automate components of STG and SWG quota process to deliver quota spreadsheets to the Managers for 1H 2014 Quota Deployment cycle using knowledge of workflow or databases. Prepare standard operating procedures for generation and distribution of reports/tools according to policies of reports management. Confers with business leaders to identify gaps, determine root causes and implement corrective actions. Suggest innovative ways to improve reporting and processes. Focus extensively on automation by proactively identifying areas to automate deliverables to drive productivity and innovation to the Quota process. Employees in this role apply professional knowledge of sales model information and analysis requirements, specification, generation and validation, and maintaining close linkage to their IOT/GMU and global BU counterparts, deliver the Automated solutions with key analysis for stakeholders that satisfy their business requirements. They seek opportunities to standardize and innovate products across BUs/IOTs and GMU, IMT/GMT to eliminate proliferation of one-off and ad-hoc requirements. Job Details: Primary Job Role requirements • Support the upcoming 1H 2014 quota deployment process for North America • Significant up-front time commitment required for the initial set up. (coding changes and testing). Estimate two weeks for basic set up, one additional week if territory metrics are required for 1H14. • Resource must be flexible to provide immediate support should an issue arise during the FLM quota cycle • During the peak times of execution of the quota cycle in Mid Dec - January, and Mid June - July, need the person to be available during NA business hours as resource should be able to immediately respond to business issues or adjustments. Secondary Job Role requirements 1. Reporting including analysis using Brio, Cognos, Excel and Powerpoint. 2. Standard and specialized analytical support. 3. Apply knowledge of SC&T Initiatives. 4.
