IC News Report- Apocalypse (this report would be aired on all Colorado news stations, and probably has a short blurb in surrounding states like Nebraska and Kansas, this wouldve aired Saturday night, Sunday morning.) Pueblo is known for many things, and the annual Chile festival is always been a fun family activity. This weekend disaster struck ( Helicopter footage shows a large several block area of what looks to be a downtown festival, when all of the sudden fights start breaking out on one of the streets and it quickly starts to spread) A riot started Saturday afternoon, which left dozens injured. Unconfirmed reports state that over a dozen individuals died in the fighting. Police in riot gear responded rather rapidly using tear gas and high pressured water hoses to break up the worst incidents of fighting. (Pictures show police in full heavy-duty riot gear and shields, pressing against mobs of people who are throwing rocks, beer and anything else they can at the police. Several store fronts are shattered and theres obvious looting going on) Police were able to disperse the mob and the rioters after two-hours of heavy fighting. Police arrested dozens of suspects and are investigating the cause. Many local community leaders blame local favorite, Kings Brewery for rioting, claiming that the free samples of their new Tejon beer was to blame. For its part, Kings Brewery released the following press statement.( Video shows a rather attractive woman in a no-nonsense business suit who begins to talk) Kings Brewery has always been dedicated to the communities which have helped us grow into the biggest beer brand around. We support drinking responsibly and we hope the authorities find the individuals who ruined what is a good clean family outing and punish them accordingly. We are dedicated to helping out the community, and will be helping with clean up costs, and plan to help fund additional security for next weekends event.
