***ICE THREAT UPDATE*** Not a major ice storm like last winter.... Start time 4 AM sleet/freezing rain should change to rain between 9 AM & 11 AM I-95 cities. Icy side walks & local streets. Expect light snow and light freezing rain to begin early Monday morning, January 12th, in the pre-dawn hours. Snow will favor far northern areas, mainly across north-central and NE PA. Freezing rain area farther SE across east central PA and northern NJ. Some parts of SE PA and central NJ may also have a prolonged period of icing. Most areas southeast of I-95 will start off as a brief icing period, transitioning to plain rain on Monday morning. Significant icing event is possible for interior PA from the Lower Susquehanna Valley through the Lehigh Valley/southern Poconos into Northern NJ – NAM 4km temperatures at 1pm Monday still at or below freezing for some areas, especially in valley locations which can hold on to the cold longer: epawaweather/weather-alert-maps/
