ICT ASSISTANT The main responsibility of this role is to provide support in the Information and Communications Department. Under the supervision of the ICT Officer, the role offers the opportunity for a candidate with good IT qualifications to gain practical experience working in an ICT role and to learn the functions of the department. This role will assist in helpdesk queries and in ICT projects for the office and will be expected to deputize in the absence of the ICT Officer. This role will also assist other operations departments. This will mainly be support for the procurement team during periods of high workload and to assist in administrative tasks. There will also be opportunity to support the finance team. This is an opportunity for someone with good IT skills to get practical experience and to learn on the job, as well as to gain a wider understanding of the operations functions in a humanitarian organization. The candidate should have a good academic record, show personal integrity and have a strong willingness to learn. Selection Criteria • Good basic understanding of computer hardware and software • Proficiency in Microsoft Office • Qualification in IT preferred • Strong communication skills, personal integrity, attention to detail and willingness to learn An attractive Remuneration Package will be negotiated with the successful Applicant.
