ID Advocates vs Creationists: A General Comparison and Overview ID Advocates: Generally are familiar with Darwins theory of Evolution, Thomas Huxley, Alfred Russell Wallace, The Pandas Thumb and related works Creationists generally are not as well educated and some do not even know the basics of Evolutionary theory from Darwin nor basic origins of life from basic biology and zoology works ID advocates are familiar and well educated in general science, biology, anatomy, evolutionary biology, physics, evolutionary theory and principles, genetics, DNA, human origins, microbiology, chemistry, astronomy, cosmology, medicine, biochemistry, etc and very knowledgeable in these areas, often holding degrees as well Creationists may hold degrees but are generally not as educated nor knowledgeable in such areas but some exceptions do apply here ID advocates may hold secular views Creationists always hold religious, monotheistic views ID advocates subscribe or are open to Panspermia, life being seeded here from The Cosmos Creationists not so much ID advocates believe in an Earth that is billions of years old Creationists (YECs) tend to believe that our Earth is only between 6,000-10,000 years old; exceptions are OECs ID advocates have a good understanding of chemistry Creationists do not usually display such knowledge and understanding of chemistry ID advocates believe in extra terrestrial life Some Creationists do not ID advocates know logical fallacies Some Creationists do not ID advocates can debate openly about genetics, DNA, chemistry, biochemistry, abiogensis, biogensis, evolution, etc. Creationists avoid such debates ID advocates do not quote scripture nor mention God as a designer Creationists do the opposite ID advocates have made accurate predictions I.e. regarding junk DNA, genetic drift, etc. Creationists have made one, regarding The Big Bang Theory (think about this) ID advocates and Creationists may sometimes be critical of mainstream science ID advocates often cite as sources in debates articles from Nature, Scientific American, PLOS1, Nova, National Geographic, etc. Creationists often do not Creationists may pose as ID advocates Etc Feel free to add here, these are based on 7 years of observations from these debates on youtube and facebook here. P.S. I was going to post this in February but decided to post it today instead for fear of forgetting to post it on here! 😌
