IDENTIFY A PROBLEM AND PRESCRIBE APPROPRIATE SOLUTION : WHICH WAY?. THE JESUS PRESCRIPTION IS COMMENDABLE. In Luke 9:11-17 was an episode that bordered on one of Jesus’ encounters with His large crowd of followers. This narrative was as ff:- ‘And the people, when they knew it, followed him: and he received them, and spake unto them of the kingdom of God, and healed them that had need of healing. And when the day began to wear away, then came the twelve, and said unto him:- “Send the multitude away, that they may go into the towns and country round about, and lodge, and get victuals: for we are here in a desert place”. But he said unto them, “Give ye them to eat”. And they said : “We have no more but five loaves and two fishes; except we should go and buy meat for all this people”. For they were about five thousand men. And he said to his disciples, “Make them sit down by fifties in a company”. And they did so, and made them all sit down. Then he took the five loaves and the two fishes, and looking up to heaven, he blessed them, and brake, and gave to the disciples to set before the multitude. And they did eat, and were all filled: and there was taken up of fragments that remained to them twelve baskets’. Like the story about Lazarus in John11, I am sure Jesus groaned within His spirit because although He personified the power of resurrection yet, the siblings of the deceased bluntly failed to recognize and tap into His power. In this scenario, the disciples were far, far, drifted away from the incomparable Jesus, and I perceived that they were viewing an imaginary film of impossibilities on a desert screen. To be honest with you, they were totally soaked and immersed in a pool called ‘Impossible’. A recap is as ff ‘ Master, we are in a desert region, no water, no Shopping Mall let alone enough money to buy biscuits, pure water and Coca Cola to feed 5 thousand men(not to talk of women with their extra baggage) . Jesus you will embarrass us, darkness has set in, rainstorm is threatening; please, please let them go into the towns nearby to feed themselves, we can’t feed them’. Do you know Jesus well?. Take time to meditate on Jere33:3, Psa46:1 and focus on Isa49:15 for a testimony. Yesterday, i had a chat with a lady in reference to ‘ LACTATING, a natural condition associated with women. As a working mother, she boldly risked bringing her 3months old child close to her workplace to facilitate breastfeeding. On the 1st day she left the baby in the care of a lady to buy an item in a shop close by. An elderly lady not known, passed by and said: “Sweety your child is crying”. It was her wet bra soaked with breast milk showing in her blouse that gave a signal. She telephoned and was asked to proceed quickly because the baby could not be controlled any longer(A fire outbreak, her breast was the hose, herself – a firetender as well as the firewoman to quench the fire/heat with the milk from her breast). At this juncture, her breast discharged profusely because nature had invisibly linked her breast to her baby’s cry only - like a remote control panel or devise. She hurried to rescue her baby. She got to a cross-road and all drivers halted for her passage becas they heard a siren and saw a fire tender in her like Syrian Army heard the footsteps of 4lepers like chariots - Great!!. If a mother of her sort could respond to a baby’s cry, then God’s word in Isa49:15 could not be disputed. God is able. ‘ Edien ne wo haw onua’ - What is your problem?. Why- make - God - toooo - small? Stay Blessed.
