IDOL : is the simplest word Filipinos calls their very dearest or likely person or celebrity, Hindi nangangahulugan na sinasamba nila yun. Because of the persons appeal and charm you likely stare at them. In the scripture The Lord God said do not have Idols, do not even kneel to them or offer sacrifice. What is the difference? Idol in the form of appreciating ones talent, beauty or charm is a mere fact of how people appreciate Gods creation. But exaggeration about your time and affection that leads you not giving time to God can lead also to idolatry. While idol in the form of an engraved stone, metal or wood formed into a human image that you put in an altar to kneel, offer a prayer and offerings is what the scripture says it is what God is mad of. You shall not make for yourself an image in the form of anything in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the waters below. Escudos 20:4
