IEC Conducts University of Limpopo (Turf loop) SRC Elections The Electoral Commission is established by the Constitution of the Republic of South Africa, in terms of section 181 of the Constitution on the Republic of South Africa (Act 108 of 1996), the Electoral Commission is one of the institutions that strengthen Constitutional democracy. It is independent, and subject only to the Constitution and the law, and must be impartial and exercise its powers and performs its functions without fear, favour or prejudice. This also supported by the Vision 2018 of the current Commission.
