DEVELOPMENT PLAN PRESENTED TO CITY A new economic development strategic plan, from RKG Associates of Alexandria, Virginia was presented at City Hall yesterday. It is hoped the plan will become a more targeted economic development effort in the future. The over $54,000 plan was funded by the Maryland Department of Business and Economic Development, and the Appalachian Regional Commission. Short, to long term goals, include the use of the former Memorial Hospital site, further development of Canal Place, Rolling Mill and the Willowbrook Road area, and the development of a Cumberland Shopping Plaza in South End.
