IF WE ARE GOING TO BACKPEDAL ON PRIOR PROMISES NOT TO PUT NATO RIGHT ON RUSSIAS BORDER, I DONT SEE WHAT MORAL AUTHORITY THE US, EUROPE, OR NATO HAS TO STAND ON WHEN RUSSIA REOPENS A SPY BASE IN CUBA. MOSCOW IS NOT GOING TO ACCEPT JR PARTNER STATUS,..... ONE SET OF RULES FOR US, AND ANOTHER SET FOR THEM. I might also point out that the prior diplomatic discussions about keeping NATO and US proxies away from Russians border were intentionally focused on preventing escalation. This is important in terms of nuclear containment because of the potential a conflict in the former Warsaw Pact countries could go nuclear. We are screwing around with igniting World War Three, and I think this is dangerous.
