IF YOU ARE A HEADLINE READER, SHUT THE HELL UP. I know when I talk to people about giving up their guns I get the same response almost every time: “From my cold dead fingers….” but once I start asking questions, the person’s whole demeanor changes. I think most people envision Obama and Holder showing up at their front door in all black with a jacket that says “BIG GOVERNMENT – GIVE US YOUR GUNS!” Sorry, but it won’t be like that. The town I grew up in New Jersey has about 8,000 people total. Our police station had about 6-7 officers and a chief and in my youth I knew them all, and they knew me. I went to school with the chief’s daughter, lived around the corner from another officer… one or two of the others went to my church… my point is I KNEW them. Unless you live in a big city, THAT is who is coming for your guns… and you can be sure they’ll be trained for your hesitation. You planning on shooting someone that’s a schoolmate’s parent? Planning on a firefight with someone who sits in your church pew? THAT is the reality for the VAST majority of Americans… and all of a sudden, “From my cold dead fingers doesn’t seem so catchy…” DROP THE BRAVADO AND THINK FOR A MINUTE! READ ON... DO YOURSELF THE FAVOR.
