IF YOU ARE IN ISLAMABAD, PLEASE JOIN THE SEMINAR ON BABA JAN The Awami Workers Party invites you to a seminar on state repression of progressive political activists under the guise of anti-terrorism legislation in Pakistan from the perspective of the Left, on Monday, the 10th of November 2014, at 3:30 PM at the Islamabad Press Club. Through a discussion of the case of Baba Jan as well as other labor, peasant and nationalist activists (including Ghulam Dastageer, the Faisalabad 12 and others), the seminar will explore how national security and anti-terrorism legislation is being abused in Pakistan to silence dissent by progressives and nationalists, even as the terrorism of the militant right continues unabated.
