IF YOU DONT HAVE A TREE YET OR KNOW SOMEBODY WHO NEEDS ONE, THERE ARE HUNDREDS OF FREE TREES AT SUNSET PARK ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF THE LAKE TAKE THE 2ND ENTRANCE OFF EASTERN ON THE NORTH END OF THE NATURE PRESERVE FROM CLARK COUNTY PARKS FACEBOOK PAGE: The word is getting out. But we still have hundreds of Christmas trees free for the taking on the south side of the lake at Sunset Park (Sunset and Eastern). Come get one! As you may know, Sunset Park is one of the locations where members of the public may drop off their Christmas trees to have them recycled. Folks are normally supposed to wait until Dec. 26 to drop off the trees. A Christmas tree vendor dropped off 100s of unsold Christmas trees early -- many of them “twined,” wrapped and ready for delivery. So if anyone still needs a Christmas trees, perhaps someone who cannot afford one this year, we have hundreds available for the taking – free and first come, first served. We only ask that people who pick up trees recycle them when they’re done. To get to the lot, enter off Eastern at “Entrance F.”
