The jist of this is that the ten most popular flashlight Apps available today (downloaded to over 500 million users) are really Malware, and when you use them, they send all sort of private, personal data, including your contact lists as well as your financial info, to the rest of the world -- often to foreign countries that will use them for all sort of malicious things. And just deciding not to use the flashlight app may not be enough to protect you, because once it is installed, it can continue to do all sorts of evil things without your knowledge, so you may well need to do a total factory reset of your phone, which will erase all your contact lists and other important info.
