IF YOU WANT TO IMPROVE YOUR CONNECTION: RANT There are somethings Ive noticed today imparticular that I wanted to share. Its important to remember every single one of us matter. It may be your nature to be shy or outgoing, either way lets talk about the formalities of greetings. I find it very rude when someone might walk into a conversation with two people only knowing the one, yet does not acknowledge the second individual or greet them. Its also a pet peeve of mine that the one in the conversation doesnt excuse themselves and extend a connection of the additional parties that may not know each other. Are you following me so far? I hope so. Secondly, speaking of formalities...I watched a cowboy greet another gentleman Friday night with a firm hand shake and when the gentlemans wife walked up the cowboy tipped his hat and said hello. Do you see the difference? I wasnt happy with how my day went today. If its me, I want to improve and make everyone feel as though theyre important in this world, if even for just a brief moment of saying hello. Rita Davenport has said, every one of us wears an invisible sign that says make me feel important. I didnt feel important today is my problem. But I am learning to love people where theyre at..and another favorite quote of mine is, No one can make you feel inferior without your consent, Eleanor Roosevelt. Self check, Clarissa. Therefore, I am going to remind myself to protect my focus, keep smiling and love people like Jesus. (Side note: it also bugs me when I ask people if they go to church and they use the cliche, I dont believe in organized religion. What does that even mean? Cant you just say no? Isnt everything in this world organized in some shape or form?) Thank you in advance for your time, if you read this. Use your manners, etiquette isnt dead. Stand up when a lady comes to the table, give a firm hand shake when you greet your friends or a new acquaintance. Give your name and then ask for theirs...and repeat it. Make everyone you meet feel important...if just for that fleeing moment they cross your path.
