IF more limits on and rules against civilian/private citizen gun - TopicsExpress

IF more limits on and rules against civilian/private citizen gun ownership actually helped reduce gun-related crime, then such things could be considered reasonable and sensible. But ... ... the statistics (this post references just one of many reports which seemingly without exception say the same thing) and a heavy load of anecdotal evidence and documented case histories support the view-- with which I agree-- that extreme gun-restriction exposes more people to more risk of victimization rather than less. I hold out hope that people who prefer to focus on "hating guns" will shift their attention to "loving human dignity and safety" by supporting any and every policy position and legal enactment which respects life, freedom, and the basic right to self-defense and basic human responsibility to the defense of others, especially those less able to protect themselves. Best wishes to all.
