IGE TO APPOINT RIGHTWING, ANTI-ZONING REPUBLICAN AS ATTORNEY GENERAL? I heard today, from a very credible source, that a very concerning local conservative attorney is in consideration for the position of Attorney General. I am hoping my source is wrong. But if not, environmentalists, planning advocates, supporters of civil liberties and gay rights, be prepared to get angry at our new Governor. NOTE: Some people have difficulty reading what I write. I am NOT saying the Governor has settled on this person. I am not saying my source may not be in error. But if there is ANY chance my source is correct, now is the time for Ige supporters in those areas to start sending signals up to the Fifth floor that we HOPE Bart is, once again, boneheaded wrong. I certainly HOPE I am. If I am not wrong, the honeymoon will be over for a lot of us. Which is sad, because I really, really like the Governor as a person. I want to postpone my disillusionment for a couple of years. At least.
