IGNOMINY... The number one fear of most people is public - TopicsExpress

IGNOMINY... The number one fear of most people is public humiliation. Some even go as far as committing suicide after being humiliated in public. I feel real pity whenever i see folks being humiliated, but if it turns out the fellow brought the humiliation on himself with his careless or inconsiderate attitude, the pity turns to contempt. Two days ago, while i was chatting up this gorgeous Lady (dont tell my wife please) and waiting for the bus to get filled; a guy was at the back impatiently shouting at the driver to move the bus - .e oh Driver! Youre wasting my time hia ooh! What nonsense is this na? If you know say you no dey go, tell me make i come down...We go sleep for hia? mtcheeew!..No be like say the bus fine sef... The elderly Driver calmly pleaded with him to exercise a little more patience- Oga no vex abeg. You know say na turn-by-turn we dey do for hia...Afta this trip, i go stand for lain again..No vex abeg...Na only 2 chance remain... I was too engrossed with my pretty lady who was laughing at my dry silly jokes, to concern myself with their banters. Twenty minutes later and the 2 seats were still empty. Suddenly, the dude called out to the Driver - Oga Driver ooh! Come lets go. I go pay for the 2 empty seats. How much? Only N360? My own join na N540 abi? Oya enter motor make we dey go...Be fast please...Im already late...Wia you dey na? I said you should hurry! Haba!! At long last, the bus finally moved; much to the relief of me and my new sweetheart who were impatient as well but were too engrossed in our silly chit-chat to care. The dude, an hour later, got to his destination and climbed down. Oya pay the Driver! The guy began searching through his pockets in panic. Apparently he was searching for his money. Muttering to himself, he went - ..wia this moni come dey na? I tink say i cari moni enta dis bus? Nawaoo...Which kain wahala come be dis na... Now it was the Drivers turn to get angry & impatient. I would rather leave you to imagine what the driver said to him. Dude was drenched in shame! His impatient narcissistic ass was reduced to naught. None of the passengers even volunteered to help him out earlier but since a crowd was gathering and the Driver was unwilling to let him free, an elderly man finally volunteered to cover the debt. Throughout the duration of the short scene, i was watching silently. I had enough money to cover the debt but i didnt volunteer. The guy needed to learn a very hard lesson. Dont say im wicked please cos im not. Humiliation sometimes is the beginning of sanctification. I believe henceforth from that moment, the guy would learn how to speak to people politely. #RantOver You mean the Lady? Well...She gave me her number! No, i didnt ask for it ooh! Im not lying joo...Yes! Hehehehehe.... #StopMobLynching
