IGNORANCE KILLS...!!! The Bible says; my people die because of their ignorance or for lack of knowledge...!!! Here I am, sitting in my parlour, reading the news on my phone, watching same on tv in the light of the miracle salt bath or solution that cures or prevents #ebola...and it struck me deep in my heart that the Bible is indeed Gods own Word and the Word of God is absolutely true...!!! People all over Nigeria, for fear of #Ebola, drank the salt solution prescribed by God knows who...forgetting that salt in water is just a local ORS (Oral Rehydration Salts) and also forgetting the effects of salt in the body system...some also took their bath with water mixed with salt forgetting that salt in water is just a local disinfectant doing same work as soap, detol, spirit etc...!!! But thats not even the issue, so many hypertensive people drank the salt solution and this caused a lot of problem for them...lots of them were rushed to the hospital, two reportedly lost their lives in Jos (dont know about other states and those who didnt even make it to d hospital or into the reports). Some also took the salt solution in high quantity resulting in increased blood pressure, others vomitted uncontrollably etc and I wonder is it worth it...for a virus that is not air-borne and can only be spread through contact with body fluids of infected persons or animals and for so many of us who are so far away from an reported incidence of a person or animal infected with the virus forcing salt down our throats to the detriment of our health and so even onto death...true ignorance kills Some may say, prevention is better than cure and that the effects of salt in body system is negligible compared to ebola in ur body system...maybe thats true for those who survived it, but not same for thsoe who lost their lives or loved ones, for those who have to deal with increased blood pressure and other crisis brought about it...true ignorance kills...!!! Dont want to write a long sermon but this situation made me realize another important truth...the Bible say, many will believe and follow the religion (christianity) but deny the power in it...most of us just proclaim to be Christians, but dont believe in the power in it...we trust more in humans than in God...we believe more what humans say than what God says...no wonder its easier to believe take ur bath with salt in water and then drink a salt solution than to believe God can prevent ebola from getting to us or that He has given us the keys to live & death and enermous powers so much so that whatsoever we bind on earth is bound in heaven and whatsoever we loose on earth is loosed in heaven... We fear the natural death even more than the spiritual...God has been warning us, talking to us in order to save our souls, but there has never been such great response compared to how the so called ebola medication was responded to... How I wish we will respond to Gods Word, the way we did to this prank, how I wish we will be obedient to Gods Word like we did salt and water...how I wish, we will spread the Word of God in the same way and manner we spread take ur bath with water mixed in salt and also put salt in water and drink I pray that the Almighty God will help us & give us the grace to trust & depend on Him more and also obey His Words...believe we all had a wonderful day...I pray for Gods blessings, grace, favour, love, mercy, peace, joy, protection & providence even as we go to bed...God be with us all...good night...takia
