IGNORANT OR INJUDICIOUS?! Time to open eyes to REAL facts. A SHARE isn’t required because honest and genuine facts reach people by itself. The following points are Not Controversial but GENUINE. Feel free to go in for a rebuttal if the following points are considered baseless. To start with, Vijay Awards is an initiative taken by Vijay TV to felicitate ‘TAMIL CINEMA’. There are no other award shows in south that celebrates and honours Tamil movies and its technicians. The most challenging task for any Awards is undoubtedly picking the winners for their hard work and effort put into the making of a movie. If Vijay TV had clearly aimed at TRP or “Visibility” like they call it, why would they take all the effort in celebrating unsung heroes like Attakathi Dinesh, Thegidi Ashok selvan, Paruthiveeran Sujatha, Kattradhu Thamizh Anjali, Polladhavan – Velraj (Cinematographer), Venkat Prabhu – Chennai 600 028 (Best Find) and many others. Why would they award the movies that are not owned by the channel? Vijay sethupathy was honoured with a special jury award for his notable act in the film ‘SOODHU KAVVUM’ whose satellite rights are not owned by the channel. Likewise, films like Thanga meengal, Arrambam, Paradesi, Pandiyanadu, Thalaiva and the list could go on. The list of dignitaries who received the Chevalier Shivaji Ganesan Award till date are Kamal Haasan, Maniratnam, A.R.Rahman, Rajinikanth, K.Balachander, S.P.Balasubramaniam, Shah Rukh Khan and Shankar. Don’t you think they truly deserve?! Doesn’t SRK deserve the Entertainer of Indian Cinema Award?! You gotta be kidding!!! Some lose and some win. The hardships behind the making of each film is immeasurable. The Best film, in spite of all the obstacles faced wins. Hence, stating these facts all the debates on online forums and baseless rumours can take a break #VijayAwards
