IGP TO BAN HIJAB? One of my good Muslim brothers, few minutes ago, inboxed me to know one thing, if truly the new IGP Sulaiman Abba is a Muslim. His doubt of his faith, apparently stemmed from the fact that a Northern newly appointed police topmost officer bearing Muslim names would want to toy with idea of banning hijab in Nigeria. I replied that he should let me find out. Come to talk of it, is it really true that the police high command is thinking about banning the wearing of hijab in Nigeria? My professional background does not allow me to believe rumour just as my faith stops me from acting on unconfirmed information and hear-say. While those professional and religious ethics are there, I am guaranteed by the laws to seek clarifications on shady issues. Mr. Frank Mba is the only one to clarify this. Meanwhile, I hope there is no grand plan to truly bring Americas prediction of doom to pass inside the country called Nigeria? Banning hijab under whatever disguise will be very, very senseless.
