IHRC CHIEF MET WITH THE EXCELLENCY TAMMAM SALAM, PRIME MINISTER OF LEBANON AND HOLD TALKS ON THE IHRC ROLE IN LEBANON AND MIDDLE EAST..........................INTL SECRETARIAT PRESS NOTE: IHRC Chief Ambassador Dr. Muhammad Shahid Amin Khan today had official meeting with the Excellency Tammam Salam, Prime Minister of the Lebanon at Government House Beirut. IHRC Chief warmly received by the Director of the Prime Minister Secretariat Mr. Waleed Shatila, Director of the Prime Minister Security and Chief of Staff of the Prime Minister. Prime Minister Tammam Salam warmly welcomes IHRC Chief Ambassador Dr. Muhammad Shahid Amin Khan out of his office as he arrived, its unprecedented welcome given by the Prime Minister of Lebanon to any IGO Chief. IHRC Chief Ambassador Dr. Muhammad Shahid Amin Khan and Prime Minister exchange the warm words of greetings with each other. IHRC Chief briefed the role of IHRC into Lebanon Peace negotiation and its efforts to bring the all segment of political and religious groups on one table which resulted to establish the new government of Lebanon under the leadership of the Prime Minister Tammam Salam. Both Leaders also discussed the forth coming IHRC Summit in Lebanon and Prime Minister Tammam Salam assured IHRC Chief that his government with provide IHRC and its Secretariat full assistance and cooperation to hold this event in Beirut, Prime Minister also assured that Government will stand with IHRC by all means to hold the IHRC Summit as it will give great event to the Lebanon. Prime Minister Tammam Salam requested to the IHRC Chief to play his influence and role on all political and religious parties of Lebanon to support the democratic process and IHRC Chief assured Prime Minister that he will do his best to bring everyone on the table of talks to strengthen the Government to serve the people of Lebanon. Both leaders also discussed the Syrian crises and the difficulties faced by the Lebanon due to 8,00,000 Syrian refugees, IHRC Chief assured the Prime Minister that soon IHRC will hold the International Conference of the Friends of Lebanon to help the government to deal with this humanitarian crises. Prime Minister also gives full confidence to the IHRC Chief on the Peace Negotiation on behalf his Government and assured he will stand where IHRC will invite the Prime Minister for the Peace and stability into Lebanon and region.
