IKEA Kritter and Sniglar Junior Bed Recall - Updated *** UPDATE *** 29th January 2014 IKEA has extended the recall of Sniglar junior beds. Previously, this recall only covered Sniglar beds with a date stamp in the range 1114 to 1318. This has now been extended to cover older Sniglar beds with a date stamp in the range 1049 to 1318. The date stamp range for Kritter beds is unchanged at 1114 to 1322. Recall Summary IKEA Kritter and Sniglar junior beds pose a laceration hazard. Recall Issue IKEA is recalling some of their Kritter and Sniglar junior beds due to a laceration hazard. There have been eight reports of the metal rod connecting the guardrail to the bed frame, breaking. A broken rod could expose sharp metal edges, presenting a laceration hazard. There has been one reported injury. IKEA Junior Beds Affected By This Recall The IKEA junior beds affected by this recall are:- KRITTER junior beds Date stamp – 1114 to 1322 (YYWW – Year and week number) SNIGLAR junior beds Date stamp – 1049 to 1318 (YYWW – Year and week number) The date stamp can be found on a label attached to the headboard or underside of the bed.
