ILL TELL THE WORLD THAT IM A CHRISTIAN How often do you share your love for Jesus with someone, anyone? How easily do you speak of Jesus love to a non-believer? Do you hold back, hoping that your behavior speaks for itself, that your life shows that you are a Christian? Do you find yourself too embarrassed to pray in public or to witness to a stranger? In scripture, Jesus said, Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven. But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven. (Matthew 10:32-33 KJV). In avoiding opportunities to witness, we are, in essence, denying the One who shed His blood for us! How shameful that we might be afraid to acknowledge our Savior! When Jesus first sent His disciples out to bear witness of Him, He gave these instructions: ...they should take nothing for their journey, save a staff only; no scrip, no bread, no money in their purse: But be shod with sandals; and not put on two coats. And he said unto them, In what place soever ye enter into an house, there abide till ye depart from that place. And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear you, when ye depart thence, shake off the dust under your feet for a testimony against them... (Mark 6:8-11 KJV). Note the boldness in the instructions when He said that if they were not well received, they were to shake off the dust as a testimony against those that didnt accept the gospel message! Later, when Jesus gave the Great Commission, He told them, ...All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen. (Matthew 28:18-20 KJV). Teach, baptize, show them how to observe His commandments - no timidity there! He told them to go out there and share this message of the gospel TO ALL NATIONS!
