IM ONE LUCKY LITTLE GIRL... FROZEN is my name and here is my story. Thank you to all the employees at Menards here in New Ulm who found me and saved me on that very cold day 11/18/14. Why I was found by the garden center at Menards !!!!, very cold and half frozen. The employees found me and took me in and call BCHS. The person at the shelter said bring her down. They did just that. When I got to the shelter I was just very, very cold, snuggled up in a ball and pretty lifeless at the time. The person at the shelter got me a kennel set up and a nice warm Disk all heated up and in a soft bed for me. The person was awful worried about my out come. But I WANTED TO LIVE. She got me on the warm disk with lots of blankets on top of me, she rubbed my body to try to get me warm. As I warmed up some, She had the food dish next to my bed. She picked me up and put me by my hard food. I tell you I was so weak, But not weak enough that I didnt know what food was. But I stuck my face right down in that hard food and tried to get a mouth full of food and chew as best I could and swallow it. The person offered me some soft food, that was even better, but she was so worried that I would smoother in the soft food, so she watched very carefully as I got a mouth full of food and ate it. But then she took the food away from me, because she didnt want me to eat to much at first. She then went and got a syringe and put water in it and squirted it into my mouth. OH BOY was that great, I sucked on that syringe for more. So she gave me more. But not to much. Then she put me back on my warming disk and covered me up with lots of blankets, I was so cold. I snuggled under those blankets. The person left for awhile and then about a hour or so later she come back and I was doing much better. Lots warmer and I could eat better,----- much better !!! I was awful dirty and my fur was a mess and the person at the shelter was worried that I might have bad stuff on my fur, and didnt want me licking that icky stuff. so I got a nice WARM bubble bath and dried off with the hair dryer. Then I got to go back in my warm bed. I went to the vet today and had a check up. My birthday is 05/14/14. Im doing good, skinny though. But I will fatten up. Im an old school cat, that means Im TOUGH. But at the same time Im sweet. So Im going to enjoy hanging out here at the nice warm shelter and get lots of spoiling. But dont be shy, come by and see me and if you like me and want to give me a good home. Im all for that.
