IM ONLY HUMAN ... Perhaps theres more to it than that. The Im human part aptly describes our condition when our sins get the best of us: For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not. (Romans 7:8)... this condition requires what is described here: My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous: And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world. (1 John 2:1-2)... and the Im saved part, which begins, persists, and Triumphs BECAUSE OF Gods Unconditional Forgiveness, empties out into the vast depths of this next Scripture: He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked. (1 John 2:6). Therefore, how very important it is to remember, that there is but ONE Power Who stands Superiorly over the nature of the flesh, and He Empowers the nature of the New Man, if we YIELD to Him: THE HOLY SPIRIT... without HIM, we can do NOTHING... and thats a tuff one for mortals to understand. When God says YIELD to His Spirit so that we can WALK in His Spirit, He means, if we do not yield, we will not walk in His Spirit. For example, if I say I am hungry for cake, yet I fail to eat the cake that has been set on a plate directly in front of me, then I will not have cake in my belly, even though its been provided. Likewise, God has Provided us with His Holy Spirit; He Walks Beside us and also Indwells us. and yet, if we fail to YIELD OUR WILL to His Spirit, but choose instead to follow our own instinctful direction, we will fail to walk in the Spirit. This verifies what God tells us in His Word: there is NO GOOD THING IN THE FLESH... and without Him, WE CAN DO NOTHING... I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing. (John 15:5). But HOW can we continue to Walk in His Spirit? John 17:17 says: Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth. The answer is simple... ABIDE IN HIS WORD.
