IM THANKFUL that Im back in the house. As we age, things go wrong. In my case its muscles. Particularly knees. Obvious when I try to stand up from a low seat. Today was so beautiful that I hauled out a beach chair & basked in the sun.Then I COULDNT GET OUT OF THE DAMNED CHAIR! It was lower than Id thought. I yelled for Don who was inside, but hes hard of hearing & had TV on full blast. I finally shoved myself out of the chair onto the driveway without smashing my head on the concrete. Nothing to grab to haul myself up. So I inched myself on my butt into the garage & banged on the door. Don was still blissfully lost in football. Bottom line--when the game was over, he finally rescued me. Getting Old Is Not for Sissies is accurate.
