IMMEDIATE JOB OPENING IN ELGIN! Position: Web Designer Where: Elgin, IL Assignment duration: 6 week contract Start Date: ASAP Rate: $17-19 /hr depending on experience. This is a 40-hour week onsite assignment-must have car. Responsibilities: • Develop and maintain website by responding to client requests and creating new web pages. • Maintain the site structure and content. Add images, electronic documents and other media to the database as needed. • Design and update banners including adding/deleting graphics, text, audio/video and links, as necessary. • Perform audio and video editing for video tutorials and demonstrations posted on the website. Work with raw footage from third parties, arrange photos and music to create a presentation, or capture video/audio recordings. • Maintain and update online slideshow by optimizing new photos for the web, and uploading files to the database. Requirements: • Associates Degree in Web Design or related field • 2+ years of experience in web design • Must be familiar with web development languages including HTML, CSS, DHTML, JavaScript, ActionScript, XML and cross browser compatibility related issues • Must be proficient with Adobe Creative Suite including- Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Flash • Understanding of usability, user experience, and interaction design concepts • Familiarity with video/audio software (Adobe Premiere Pro or Apple Final Cut Express/Pro, Adobe Soundbooth or Logic Express/Pro) • Strong attention to detail. • Handle multiple projects independently and collaboratively with a team.
