IMMIGRATION LAWS: Are they based on some form of research or happen randomly? For many countries, all you need to travel is a valid passport. For our only neighbour, if you had the misfortune of bearing children, you need birth certificates. Does this not qualify as persecution? Monday mid-month is hardly busy. But it took us roughly 50 minutes to complete the process of crossing over back to Lesotho, before that stupid Birth Certificate Law becomes effective. What will happen when July 2014 comes, during peak periods? If a cargo-less family takes nearly an hour, what happens to traders then? Remember these two neighbours are SACU signatories and both supposedly in favour of free movement of people and goods. Whoever advised them is a very stupid theorist who has nearly never even left a province, otherwise how does one explain this? Basotho are not worse criminals than all countries in the world and certainly not worse than a country with 50 murders a day. citypress.co.za/politics/new-immigration-regulations-rip-families-apart-dissuade-investors/
