IMMIGRATION REFORM: First I believe everyone needs and deserves a chance to better themselves. To go somewhere they think opportunity will give them a better chance to help themselves and their families. I moved to Romania from the US and have done just this for the time being. I pay taxes here, work legitimately, and give back to my community as best I can. While in the US my wife had to go through the normal immigration process to become a resident and eventually a US Citizen. This cost time off work, money for all the fees, and we had to bring references. This is how things work in a normal republic and society. There are rules and guide lines that differentiate us from the rest of the third world countries like Mexico. To think the average American is offering another country a scholarship to come and leech off them is a whole other deal. Tell me why should I help or pay for this? Why when nobody helped me when I needed it! When I was married to a Romanian National and not one person except her and I went through the whole US Immigration process. My anger is not that people are bettering themselves but that some turd who you all elected to office is making this immigration reform policy with just a use of his pen without any consideration of the consequences. If these 4.5 million mexicans want to be US citizens then let them file the paper work, pay the fees, and do this the way other people are expected to do. The speech last night was not even televised on any of the normal broadcast networks. The white house sent out an invite to UNIVISION which is purely a mexican channel. You think this was not intentional? I pay taxes still in the US even though I work here in Europe. To think that Im taking food and other items off my families table for some turd to get freebies is unconscionable to say the least. Everything I have I have had to earn. NOBODY gets a piece of this unless theyre family and the last time I checked my family did not include 4.5 million illegal Mexicans.
