IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT Dear friends, This past year has been an epic whirlwind journey in the Neon Burgers story. Like all good stories, they must come to an end. Neon Burgers Limited operated by myself Imtiaz Hussain and my business partner Taifur Meah has recieved a lucrative takeover bid by a rival company. Now there comes a time in life when good fortune befalls you and you have to take the succour with both hands before hard times fall on you again. The business itself is doing very well, we have a unique brand and a fantastic product with a consistent revenue pattern, we have no outstanding debts, we continue to bring in a steady profit and made a six figure turnover in less than 9 months. We incurred no losses in the entire time of operation. We also invested minimum capital, total outlay being less than 10k for startup because we were very savvy. Now that we have been offered 1000s of x our initial investment you my dear friends cannot blame us if weve seen the golden goose lol. Alhamdulillah. Allah gave me just a tiny fraction of his infinite bounty and if I think about it on a cosmic scale, I regard it as an immense blessing. The new investment consortium will most likely bring in their own brand identity but there is a chance it may remain Neon Burgers but very unlikely. However as homage to us the new guys will still have our classic neon burger on their menu. In terms of continuinity and maintaining standards, we have spent the last month providing consultancy to direct the new consortium towards crafting a better product & service offering. 90% of our menu has been discussed with them however 10% remains in my head..Im crazy but not stupid lol. Now before the waterworks begin, my business partner and I will still be in the restaurant sector and very likely will be working with another company as consultants in order to improve their standards as a gourmet burger outlet. Thus the spirit of neon burgers will live on in our work and you may see our signatures around London if you look out for it. We will still be offering consultancy services to whoever is interested whether they are already operating a restaurant or planning to launch one. In terms of our exclusive neon lights, they will find homes in art galleries and private collections. Some pieces still remain and we are happy to listen to offers for them. Now, Neon Burgers will close its doors for the final time on Sunday the 2nd of February 2015. We intend to film the event so if you have a camera, please bring it along! And ofcourse it is going to be a discount day. I need to thank everyone, all our supporters, patrons, suppliers and haters because you made us better and stronger each time and gave us the motivation to persevere and succeed. I want to thank my mum for her endless support putting up with my bakwas every day and night non stop, the most important thing were her prayers alhamdulillah. And my uncles for their support and assistance. My brothers and sisters (in my family everyone is a bhai) and closest friends yall made it worth it. And ofcourse the best crazy madhatter team ever Thanks and appreciation goes to Mullas Butchers of Hoxton, The Spence Bakery of Stoke Newington, Chef Shefs Sauces of Stoke Newington, Al Ubed Butcherd of Clapton, Nature and the Haberdashery and La Duchesse for their coffees. You know, someone asked me the other day, would I do it all over again? The blood, sweat, tears, burns, aches, pains, stress, no social life, 70 to 90 hour weeks....hell yeah bring it on!
