IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT FROM BABYLON FIRE This statement comes from lead singer Mark Dunford today.... It is with a heavy heart and a slight lump in my throat that I have to inform you all that I am stepping down as the lead singer of Babylon Fire. This may be coming completely out of the blue for most of you so I wanted to tell you all my reasons and where I shall be going from here. When Rishi, Ryk, Carc and myself started writing and playing together, we all agreed that if ever we could not commit 100% to the band, then that person would bow out to allow the band to carry on without someone holding them back. Unfortunately, at this current stage in my life, I am unable to give the band that 100%. This was not an easy decision to make, but I believe it is the right one for both me and the band. I wanted to say a massive thank you to all the fans and friends we have made over the years. We have had some incredibly wild and crazy times. There have been some amazing highs, and thankfully, very few lows. This is not the end of my musical career, but I will be taking some time for myself to get myself back on track. Give me a year, and listen out for the rumblings of the next chapter for me. That’s right, by no means have you heard the last of Mark D . Finally, I just wanted to say a huuuuuuge thank you to; Rocksector Records, All the bands we have played with over the years, Every single person who bought one of our CD’s and various other bits n bobs and, of course, a massive, massive thanks to my Babylon Brothers, Ryk, Carc and Rishi. I hope you will all continue to support Babylon Fire when they find (who I’m sure will be) a kick ass new singer. I am a fan of Babylon Fire and will continue to support them and rock out at gigs that I can attend. Bloodstock will be my final farewell performance, so I hope to see as many people down the front rocking their God Damn heads off for us. Thanks for all the support, and I’ll see you all soon.
