IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT: His Eminence, Metropolitan Kallistos, known in the world as Timothy Ware, and the author of several key introductory books on Orthodoxy, such as The Orthodox Church and The Orthodox Way, as well as translations of the great spiritual treasure, the Philokalia, will be in our area at the end of June!!! He will be at St. Herman of Alaska Orthodox Church in Gradyville, PA, for Great Vespers on Saturday, June 28th, and will be there on Sunday the 29th for a Hierarchical Divine Liturgy. Sunday afternoon, Metropolitan Kallistos will be speaking at 4 p.m. at Villanova University - an event Free and Open to the Public. His topic will be Thoughts and Reflections on the 50th Anniversary of the Meeting between Pope Paul VI and Patriarch Athenagoras in Jerusalem. This topic will no doubt be of great interest in light of the recent meeting of Pope Francis and Patriarch Bartholomew and the context of Orthodox-Catholic relations.
