IMPORTANT CHANGES PROPOSED FOR UK. PLEASE TAKE A MOMENT TO GLANCE THROUGH... This year see’s a change to the UK structure with the introduction of Chairmen to cover the reps in the various regions and administrate the members within their regions. This is a bold step for us, but I think many will see the necessity of such a move. In the past I have administered all regions, but I know all too well that although we are the united kingdom it is ridiculous to assume we know the cultural and in a few the language differences and be able to wisely suggest things appropriate to the different regions. Chairmen will be on hand for advice within their regions as to how and why some ideas for the society should be tweaked. Many may criticise the need for Britain to be regionalised, but we must look sensibly at the fact there is still a north/south/east/west divide. Running RTWR has made me more aware than ever and so I find it is the only way to get good ‘coverage’ to all members. Even down to a tourism level, heritage is a massively popular thing for the growth and financial welfare of the UK as a whole. In discussion with members of the uk and the reps it has been apparent that many love their cultures and I feel this is very appropriate for them to do so. I feel that many regions will benefit from being able to use their own brand of culture to enhance members. I am deeply proud of how Wales Scotland and Ireland have made the best of conforming to an ‘overall’ tenet, but I do feel they have been held back in many ways. I would like to know any views the rest of the membership would have on this, all will be taken into account.. Please PM me if you are worried. Chairmen will be an administrative role The reps in each region will be able to work alongside them and under them Rallies, shows and entertainment will be passed through and administered by the chairmen / reps of the appropriate region.
