IMPORTANT: Competitors ... please read the following technique points at the bottom of this post carefully. All judges are actively seeking out people to punish with time penalties!! each time penalty will be worth 30seconds!!! that is a huge penalty considering each event only lasts between 20-25mins!!! 2 penalties will add 1minute to your overall time!! So take the technique points seriously and make sure you fully understand them. Please feel free to post any questions!! Technique List Highlander Rules/Technique: WATCH VIDEO FOR TECHNIQUE POINTERS •Box Jumps – 2 feet. Must lock out knees and hips when on top of box (full extension) •Tyre Drag – must drag tyre over specified line •Lunges – KNEE MUST TOUCH FLOOR on every lunge. Barbell can be held however competitor likes. (front, behind, overhead) •Weight Plate Snatches – Weight Plate must touch floor and be held fully extended overhead (arms locked out) Spartan Rules/Technique: WATCH VIDEO FOR TECHNIQUE POINTERS •Burpees – Chest much touch floor. Must Jump up and clap behind head. •Thrusters – Bum must touch haystack on squat. Arms must lock out (full extension on press) •Jump rope – 2 feet •Sit ups – hands must touch floor behind the head on downwards phase and floor in front of body on upwards phase •Air Squats - bum must touch haystack. Knees, hips must be locked out at top (full extension) Strength + Honour Rules/Technique: WATCH VIDEO FOR TECHNIQUE POINTERS • Tyre Flips – Tyre must cross specified line •Dead Push ups – Must be lead on floor with hands off the floor at bottom of push up. Arms must be locked out at top of push up. •KB swings – KB must drop below hips at bottom of movement and arms must be fully locked with KB overhead at top of movement. •Deadlifts – Full extension at top. Knees, hips locked at top of movement. Shoulders back •Farmers Walk – Buckets must be held in hands and all time when moving, must cross specified line. V02 MAX Rules/Technique: None. Just need to make sure distances completed for each exercise. Drill Sergeant Rules/Technique: None. Just need to make sure all obstacles navigated correctly and specified number of laps have been completed.
