IMPORTANT: Dear Students and Parents: Waynesfield-Goshen School District will begin to institute E-Day/Blizzard Bags effective Monday January 27, 2014. In the event of school cancellations, beginning Monday January 27, 2014, the WG School District will enact an “E-Day/Blizzard Bag” curriculum. Teachers have developed assignments for students to do at home and turn in the day school resumes. This will ensure that the school year will conclude as close as possible to the day scheduled on the school district calendar. Each student will receive assignments and instructions for each E-Day/Blizzard Bag day. The assignments may be paper based or through the use of students’ school Google accounts. The assignments are primarily meant to practice skills already attained. Please keep the folder/information in a safe location so that it can be given to your child in the event that school is cancelled. The One Call you receive stating school is cancelled for the day will also include information about the decision that E-Day/Blizzard Bags should be completed on that day. The completed assignment will be used to account for student attendance on the E-Day/Blizzard Bag Day. If a student does not complete the required assignments, he/she will be marked as absent for that day. However, all students will have up to two weeks to make up work if they could not access. Very difficult winter, but have this opportunity to offer this new program at Waynesfield-Goshen and feel it will promote a variety of learning opportunities for our students when we are closed. The success of this program relies on everyone’s involvement. Thank you for your support as we embark on this new path for learning. Please be safe and be sure to bundle up when we are in session. Sincerely, J. Chris Pfister Superintendent
