***IMPORTANT****Dear friends/family around the Motherwell area.. Today I was in Motherwell and stopped at the bench outside the card factory, I started talking to two old dears (strangers to each other) one who told me she just caught a woman trying to steal the other old dears purse out her bag, thankfully the woman was unsuccessful due to the first old dear making it known she saw her! The person trying to steal the purse is working in a pair, she is dark skin with a fury hat on, sadly I dont know the description of the other person. This is the second time I have heard this happening in Motherwell in a few weeks, both to elderly people and the first persons purse was stolen!!! I know, I do not accept this happening in my community and I hope you do too!! We need to not only watch our own bags but also be vigilant of what is happening to others too especially as there isnt much police presence round the shops!! It is worth suggesting to our older generation to attach something that jingles onto there bag and keep it close to front of them. I have made my post public, so please share!!! Lets together raise awareness and stop these crimes from happening and create a better safer community for all!!!
