*** IMPORTANT HEADS UP FOR THE PHILIPPINES possible typhoon to strike the country by the weekend *** Tropical Storm Hagupit is expected to make a vline track for the Phillipines by the weekend. There is a good chance this tropical storm will also strengthen to a category 2 or even 3 typhoon, so even though it is a small storm it still looks likely it may have a punch. The storm is currently north of Paupa New Guinea and most model tracks it expect it to move west/north west direction over the next few days which is likely to put it in a collision course with the Philippines by Saturday. We will continue to monitor the situation as this system moves west/morth west and starts evolving. Image four: Other models/predictions/forecasts which also show the Hagupit heading in a very similar path taken via WesternPacificweather. - JWC
