IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR ALL ISNSW MEMBERS: Dear Members, The NSW Government introduced new planning legislation into NSW Parliament on 22 October 2013. The new planning legislation is known as the Planning Bill 2013 and is currently being debated in NSW Parliament. Visit Planning For Our Future for more information about:- The new planning rules and regulations How we will transition to the new system How we incorporated your feedback at each stage of consultation as we worked to reform planning in NSW What the new system will mean for you The NSW Government proposes that the Planning Bill 2013 replace the current planning legislation, the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979. Previous stages:- White Paper - A New Planning System for NSW (April 2013) The White Paper and associated draft planning legislation were exhibited for public feedback between 6 April 2013 and 28 June 2013. It incorporated feedback on the preceding exhibition of a Green Paper. Green Paper - A New Planning System for NSW (July 2012) The Green Paper was exhibited for public feedback on 14 July 2012. Independent Review (July 2011) Supporting activities (2003 – 2010) I understand that the legislation before parliament differs from the white paper particularly with respect to complying development and as this has a bearing on the way we conduct our businesses I recommend that members look closely at the legislation and advise the Institution of any concerns so that we may make submissions on your behalf.
