IMPORTANT NOTE FOR ALL MEMBERS! AS WE APPROACH 2015, AND WE SEE SO MANY NEW FACES JOINING OUR FIT FAMILY AT CFB, WE NEED TO REINFORCE SOME RULES, AND INFORM EVERYONE OF IMPORTANT GUIDELINES THAT ARE IN PLACE EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY: 1. WODs start on the half hour block, promptly! No exceptions. Our coaches are there to run the WODs as a one hour block for EVERYONE. The coaches will be starting the WOD blocks with a MANDATORY warm-up exactly at 4:30, 5:30, 6:30, and 7:30 p.m. If they are leading a group warm-up, you must participate.....the warm-up is for your safety and ensuring that you reduce risk of injury. Please respect them when they call for everyone to start warm-ups. If you arrive late, they will not wait for you, or hold up the warm-ups and definitely not the WOD. If you arrive late, you are completely on your own, or must wait for the next WOD block. 2. WODs will NOT run over time. In other words, if you are working on strength or skills with the coaches and the actual WOD does not start until 30 minutes into the hour block. You will have a 30 minute cap to finish your WOD. If you are not finished at the end of the WOD block, your reps will be recorded as is...there is no longer extended time blocks going into the next WOD session as this is unfair to the people who are arriving at that time for their workout to wait around 10 or 15 extra minutes. As stated in # 1....WOD blocks are starting promptly on the half hour. 3. YOU MAY NOT MAKE UP YOUR OWN TIME BLOCKS. IN other words, if you arrive at 5:00 p.m. (a half hour earlier from the next class 6:30), does not mean you can start your WOD a half hour earlier. If you want to come early and work on your own skills early, just be sure not to interfere with the current WOD session, and take all the time you need to stretch out, practice your skills, etc. but be aware.....the clock is not going to start any earlier or any later than the when the coach is running the WOD block. 4. NEW NOTEBOOKS!! Gino will have brand new notebooks he will hand out to all clients....this your book and you are responsible to bring it with you (just like all other gym gear) on the days you know you are doing strength. We can no longer house books at the gym. By the end of this week, Gino will be discarding those old notebooks in the gym, so if you want yours....take it home with you before Friday. Anything left in the gym will be discarded. It is of utmost importance that you bring your new books with you on strength days, the coaches cannot memorize everyones Max weight or PRs, etc. So please remember to bring your books with you on strength or skill days! 5. As winter approaches full on, please bring a change of shoes on the days you know the parking lot is wet/snowy or covered with rock salt so we do not trudge in the the sludge onto our floors/mats. 6. We need to eliminate the routine of making-up missed WODs or selecting WODs that are not assigned for that day and block. It is unfair to expect our coaches to manage mutliple people doing multiple movements and WODs. So be aware that our WOD programs for the week are set up to maximize your potential, we cannot run our program as a WOD buffet :) 7. AT THE END OF EVERY WOD BLOCK, CLEAN UP YOUR EQUIPMENT...It does not matter if the next block of people are using it. IT is MANDATORY to PICK UP AND PUT BACK ALL EQUIPMENT NO MATTER WHAT. The next WOD block will set up their own equipment. This is a routine that ask all clients to abide by. *MOST IMPORTANTLY.....BE MINDFUL OF PEOPLE IN THE MIDDLE OF THEIR WORKOUT. IF YOU ARE GOING TO CONGREGATE TO CONVERSE OR NEED TO WORK ON OTHER THINGS....DO IT AWAY FROM THE AREA WHERE THE CURRENT WOD BLOCK IS DOING THEIR WORKOUT. Thank you for your consideration and cooperation...as we prepare to bring out the best in everyones CrossFit exerience at CrossFit Bacon!
