Construction at Schleisman Road and Scholar Way to Begin Posted Date: 9/20/2013 6:45 PM Beginning the week of September 23, 2013 residents will begin to notice some construction activities in the area of Schleisman Rd. and Scholar Way. The developer of the land across Scholar Way from Eastvale Elementary and River Heights will begin preliminary work in the area to prepare their vacant land for housing construction. At this phase, there are no traffic impacts anticipated but as the phases of construction change, the traffic impacts will range from mild to significant. Once the project is completed, the end result will be a significant improvement to the traffic and circulation in the area of Schleisman Rd. and Scholar Way. At completion of the project, residents benefits will include: 1. Fully improved and widened intersections which will reduce existing congestion at Schleisman Rd. and Scholar Way 2. Sidewalks on the east side of Scholar Way which will enhance pedestrian safety by improving crosswalks and pedestrian path 3. Scholar Way will have two lanes in each direction between Schleisman Rd. & Citrus St. 4.
