Congressman Enyart among invited guests. ****LIKE US ON FACEBOOK: RANDOLPH COUNTY DEMOCRATS-ILLINOIS**** A message from the Chair: May all of you enjoy a happy and safe Easter holiday weekend—maybe we are finally getting a taste of the weather we have waited so long to enjoy. Mushrooms are popping up and it doesn’t get much better than that. I wanted to share with you that the Randolph County Democrats held their reorganization meeting Wednesday evening as required by state law. New officers include Barb Brown as County Chairman, Kerry Johnson of Rockwood, Rick Rice of Central and Lucas Liefer of Red Bud as the three Vice Chairs, Angie Isom of Palestine as Secretary and John Reichling of Walsh as Treasurer. We have been served for several years by a group of leaders who have worked very hard and who we owe our gratitude for taking on the responsibilities of office and doing their best to make our party a success. These include Zig Jones, Cindy Jones, Butch Jungewaelter, Alan Ashbrook and Larry Mudd. All are getting a much deserved break from so much responsibility—except Cindy!!! She has transitioned from County Chairlady to Candidate and we are solidly pulling for her. Thanks to all for their service. There is much to do and little time to waste in launching the fall campaign. That is why we are asking for your special effort to help us kick off our 2014 campaign with a large event on Sunday, May 4. The info is above and we will soon be sending you a flyer that you can use to help us build a crowd. This is more than just a casual get together. A large and enthusiastic rally in early May will demonstrate our commitment to our candidates and leave no doubt that we are the Party headed for victory in November. Please come out to show our strength and our unity. There are many new ideas and plans that I look forward to sharing with you on April 28.
