IMPORTANT PLEASE! I am very much impressed with the numbers and the knowledge and passion youths are expressing on this platform. We can effect indelible developmental change if we generate ideas, brainstorm on them and then execute them in our countries to alleviate and even eradicate the myriad challenges Africa is beset with. But to be able to to this, i deem it fit that we bring some sanity to this group. People have brilliant ideas here but the manner in which we are posting them is not gonna help much. Let us have an orderly way of holding discussions in this group. I suggest: 1. We select a day for deliberating on issues 2. We choose a time that is convenient for everyone 3. We generate topics that should be discussed e.g unemployment 4. We deliberate on the topics chosen, one-by-one. 5. We choose a panel of say five people to sample the most promising ideas from the deliberations 6. And then after sampling, I will type the ideas in an orderly fashion and share them with every member of this group 7. Then using this forum, we come up with an implementation plan for the sampled ideas. 8. Then we implement the ideas. So, under this post, let everyone suggest a day and time for our first discussion. I will settle on the time suggested by majority of people and then I will share with everyone the agenda for that first day of discussion. REMEMBER to include your time-zone in the suggestion.
