IMPORTANT UPDATE!!!! I was just approached with a local need regarding funding. There is a man named Freddie Fulcher that needs a liver transplant and he is on disability. His medicaid is being taken away in October and as such, he has no money for his liver transplant. They are trying several different fundraisers and not getting many results. They are humbly going door-to-door asking for help, not knowing what else to do. I personally know these people and it hurts my heart to see them have to face this and I can only imagine the pain it brings. I sat down with his daughter and listened to all of her confused feelings, desperation for someone to understand, and her pleas for help. As such, we at BL2MHC feel this is one of many good causes we would like to donate to. As such, I have changed that the proceeds will go to help them. Even with their troubles at home, his daughter and daughter-in-law still strive to support local causes and as such have had a few people agree to purchase BL2MHC t-shirts as their way to contribute back. They also attend many other charity events and pledge to continue to do so. They will have their own booth set up at the event for collections of donations. We need to let them know that they have our support, they need helping hands right now, not only through funds but also through a listening ear. I am also going to share his story here: We are holding a Scentsy fundraiser for Freddie Fulcher who needs a liver transplant. He is 57 years old and was diagnosed with cirrhosis of the liver in November of 2013 related to his diabetes. Freddie & his family were notified that he is a candidate for a liver transplant but they have to raise thousands of dollars to reserve his place on the transplant list since he doesnt have insurance.
