IMPULSE CONTROL/THRESHOLD training. In this video, Rocky & Sam are required to sit politely until given the command to get into the car. They are also required to stay in the car without jumping out until given the out command. Being able to do this exercise increases their ability to control their impulses. Being able to wait to get in and out of the car is one example of practicing good impulse control. This exercise also strengthens your position as leader. All threshold work, moving through doorways, gates, cars, waiting on food and kennel up, will strengthen your role as leader.
