IN CASE I GET HIT BY THE NUMBER 7 BUS THIS IS HOW I LEARN 20,000 PHONE NUMBERS - NOT WHY..The listings are recorded on cassette and replayed at normal speaking pace - the first 3,000 are stored on just under eight hours of TDK. While I play them I read them from a scroll over 200ft long and create associations and mnemonic en-route. The listings are learned first by classifications then rejigged in one enormous alphabetical scroll. Since the ears are more effective than the eye transmitters then recall is guaranteed. Once the learning curve with the ears is completed then speed reading is introduced so that 3,000 telephone numbers can be processed by recognition in under an hour. So when you see me on Breakfast television with the first 10,000 listings you can be sure that I would have sat for at least 3hrs behind the camera speed reading.
