IN-COMING NEWS: *Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal is trying to buy Juventus midfielder Arturo Vidal, 27, and Ajax defender Daley Blind, 24, before the transfer window closes on 1 September. United will have to pay £20m to sign Netherlands international Blind from the Eredivisie club with Ajax director of football Marc Overmars demanding the absolute top price. *Liverpool are still pushing to sign ex-Arsenal midfielder Alex Song, 26, who is currently at Barcelona. *Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has ruled out moves for three strikers: Manchester Uniteds Danny Welbeck, 23, Monacos Radamel Falcao, 28, and former Birmingham man Nikola Zigic, 33. *Sunderland have made a £6m bid to sign Dutch defender Virgil van Dijk, 23, from Celtic after Atletico Madrids Toby Alderweireld, 25, rejected a move to the Black Cats. *Manchester United will bid for £24m-rated Sporting Lisbon midfielder William Carvalho, 22, as Louis van Gaal looks to offload Danny Welbeck, 23, Tom Cleverley, 25, and Shinji Kagawa, 25. *Cleverley is ready to wait until his contract ends to leave Old Trafford on a free transfer next summer. *Former Juventus striker Alessandro Del Piero, 39, has agreed to join Indian Super League Delhi Dynamos after his contract with Sydney FC expires in January. *Crystal Palace are set to re-sign 21-year-old winger Wilfried Zaha from Manchester United after Neil Warnock returned to the club as manager. *Sevilla want to sign Southamptons Uruguay forward Gaston Ramirez.
