IN DEFENCE OF SEN. MUSILIU OBANIKORO: I read an article posted by Sahara Reporter, which article have been reposted on the walls of many pro-APC blogs timeline and pages on this social media and which article is aimed at stopping Senator Musiliu Obanikoro from being cleared by the Senate on his account of nomination as Minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria on the basis of what I consider as flimsy and lame excuses and I do not see any substance in this whole article. Lagos State have a chequered history of Politicians with history of unresolved past and identity. Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu, (National leader of APC today) was challenged by late Gani Fawehinmi till Gani breath his last on issues relating to his real identity and qualification and the issue remains unresolved till Ganis death and till date. Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila Minority Leader of House of Repss true identity, his US connections and conviction for embezzling his clients money as a solicitor in US still remains misery and unresolved till today and yet he is a saint and is highly revered because he is in APC. Senator Musiliu Obanikoro used all these document in question and won election to the Senate as Bola Tinubus candidate under AD (before he ported to PDP) and at that time there were no issues as he was then a saint being in AD(APC). I see this article as the highest level of desperation and hypocrisy and it goes to confirm the believe of the people that a devil in PDP and other parties remains a devil as long as he is still in that and becomes a saint automatically as soon as he ports to APC. Let me tell whoever cares to listen that Senator Musiliu Obanikoro being a former Senator would only be told bow and go in the tradition of the Senate as this petition is otiose and a mere conjecture that holds no water and goes to know issue as whoever goes to equity must have done equity and must go with clean hands. I also believe in the popular saying what is hood for the goose is also good for the gander. I advise whoever is against some names in the Ministerial list to focus on the names that have issue with unresolved death of Uncle Bola Ige(My Leader) and those that have corruption cases pending against them and not Senator Musiliu Obanikoro as there is nothing unheard of against him. Let me say that I have not hold brief for Senator Musiliu Obanikoro as he does not know that I exist but the truth must be told and this hypocrisy must stop!
