IN GOD LORD JESUS CHRIST ALONE WE PUT OUR TRUST AND CONFIDENCE, - TopicsExpress

IN GOD LORD JESUS CHRIST ALONE WE PUT OUR TRUST AND CONFIDENCE, AND NOT IN AN ORDINARY MEN. WE HAVE A PRESENT HELP IN THE TIME OF NEEDS NEAR US THAN THE CLOTH WE PUT ON, WHICH IS GOD AND HIS WORD. AS A TRUE BORN AGAIN CHRISTIAN, THE CONFIDENCE WE HAVE IS IN CHRIST OUR LORD JESUS BY HIS SPIRIT THAT DWELLS IN US: Psalm:46:1 GOD IS our Refuge and Strength [mighty {and} impenetrable to temptation], a very present {and} well-proved help in trouble. Psalm:121:1-2:I WILL lift up my eyes to the hills [around Jerusalem, to sacred Mount Zion and Mount Moriah]--From whence shall my help come? My help comes from the Lord, Who made heaven and earth. WE DARE NOT LEAN ON OUR SELF EFFORT OR OUR OWN SELF WISDOM, BUT IN CHRIST ALONE IS WHERE OUR HELP COMES FROM. Pro:3:5-6: Lean on, trust in, {and} be confident in the Lord with all your heart {and} mind and do not rely on your own insight {or} understanding. In all your ways know, recognize, {and} acknowledge Him, and He will direct {and} make straight {and} plain your paths. AS A TRUE BORN AGAIN CHRISTIAN, WE DONT SEEK HELP FROM MORTAL FLESH, BUT WE WAIT AND TRUST IN THE LORD AS OUR ONLY HOPE AND HELP IN THE TIME OF NEED. Psalm:62:5-8: My soul, wait only upon God {and} silently submit to Him; for my hope {and} expectation are from Him.He only is my Rock and my Salvation; He is my Defense {and} my Fortress, I shall not be moved. With God rests my salvation and my glory; He is my Rock of unyielding strength {and} impenetrable hardness, and my refuge is in God! Trust in, lean on, rely on, {and} have confidence in Him at all times, you people; pour out your hearts before Him. God is a refuge for us (a fortress and a high tower). Selah [pause, and calmly think of that]! THE WORD, AND THE NAME OF GOD ALONE IS OUR HELP: pro:18:10 The name of the Lord is a strong tower; the [consistently] righteous man [upright and in right standing with God] runs into it and is safe, high [above evil] {and} strong. 14:26 In the reverent {and} worshipful fear of the Lord there is strong confidence, and His children shall always have a place of refuge. Psalm:145:18-20: The Lord is near to all who call upon Him, to all who call upon Him sincerely {and} in truth. He will fulfill the desires of those who reverently {and} worshipfully fear Him; He also will hear their cry and will save them. The Lord preserves all those who love Him, but all the wicked will He destroy. THE ONLY HELPER WE NEED IS THE HOLY SPIRT AND WHEN WE CALL ON HIM, HE IS EVER PRESENT. JOHN:14:26 But the Comforter (Counselor, Helper, Intercessor, Advocate, Strengthener, Standby), the Holy Spirit, Whom the Father will send in My name [in My place, to represent Me and act on My behalf], He will teach you all things. And He will cause you to recall (will remind you of, bring to your remembrance) everything I have told you. SO ALL WHAT WE NEED TO DO IS TO CALL ON HIM, AND WE WILL SEE HIS GREAT MIGHTINESS IN OUR LIVES. PSALM:50:15 And call on Me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you shall honor {and} glorify Me. 91:15-16: He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him. With long life will I satisfy him and show him My salvation. LET US PUT NOT OUR TRUST IN AN ORDINARY MEN, FOR MEN ARE JUST LIKE VAPOUR OF WATER, THEY ARE HERE TODAY, AND TOMORROW THEY ARE NO MORE, BUT ONLY IN GOD WE PUT OUR TRUST. Psalm:146:3-4:Put not your trust in princes, in a son of man, in whom there is no help. When his breath leaves him, he returns to his earth; in that very day his [previous] thoughts, plans, {and} purposes perish. Psalm:118:8-9: It is better to trust {and} take refuge in the Lord than to put confidence in man. It is better to trust {and} take refuge in the Lord than to put confidence in princes. Isaiah:2:22 Cease to trust in [weak, frail, and dying] man, whose breath is in his nostrils [for so short a time]; in what sense can he be counted as having intrinsic worth? THOSE THAT SEEK HELP FROM MEN, WILL ONLY GET DISAPPOINTED AT THE END, BECAUSE MEN ARE FINITE AND LIMITED, BUT ONLY GOD IS INFINITE AND UNLIMITED. Isaiah: 31:1-3:WOE TO those who go down to Egypt for help, who rely on horses and trust in chariots because they are many and in horsemen because they are very strong, but they look not to the Holy One of Israel, nor seek {and} consult the Lord! And yet He is wise and brings calamity and does not retract His words; He will arise against the house (the whole race) of evildoers and against the helpers of those who work iniquity. Now the Egyptians are men and not God, and their horses are flesh and not spirit; and when the Lord stretches out His hand, both [Egypt] who helps will stumble, and [Judah] who is helped will fall, and they will all perish {and} be consumed together. SO LET US TRUST IN THE LORD, AND WAIT UPON HIM, BECAUSE IN DOING SO, WE WILL NEVER BE DISAPPOINTED NOR DISMAYED. Psalm:91:1-6: HE WHO dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall remain stable {and} fixed under the shadow of the Almighty [Whose power no foe can withstand]. I will say of the Lord, He is my Refuge and my Fortress, my God; on Him I lean {and} rely, {and} in Him I [confidently] trust! For [then] He will deliver you from the snare of the fowler and from the deadly pestilence. [Then] He will cover you with His pinions, and under His wings shall you trust {and} find refuge; His truth {and} His faithfulness are a shield and a buckler. You shall not be afraid of the terror of the night, nor of the arrow (the evil plots and slanders of the wicked) that flies by day, Nor of the pestilence that stalks in darkness, nor of the destruction {and} sudden death that surprise {and} lay waste at noonday. IT IS ONLY A FULL THAT WILL PUT HIS OR HER TRUST IN MEN, BECAUSE WHAT THEY ARE REALY SAYING IS THAT THERE IS NO GOD. Psalm:14:1 THE [empty-headed] fool has said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable deeds; there is none that does good {or} right. Jer:17:5-8:Thus says the Lord: Cursed [with great evil] is the strong man who trusts in {and} relies on frail man, making weak [human] flesh his arm, and whose mind {and} heart turn aside from the Lord. For he shall be like a shrub {or} a person naked and destitute in the desert; and he shall not see any good come, but shall dwell in the parched places in the wilderness, in an uninhabited salt land. [Most] blessed is the man who believes in, trusts in, {and} relies on the Lord, and whose hope {and} confidence the Lord is. For he shall be like a tree planted by the waters that spreads out its roots by the river; and it shall not see {and} fear when heat comes; but its leaf shall be green. It shall not be anxious {and} full of care in the year of drought, nor shall it cease yielding fruit.
