IN GRATITUDE. Dominic Eckersley has been working on two of my doubles owned by Mitzi Meyerson recently so I sent him some samples of my plectra plus some odd bits and bobs should he need them. Dominic is a firm advocate for feather and uses crow in his own instrument, a feather I have also worked with and like. It is quite understandable that we all get fixed in our ways and beliefs and I am a firm believer in the saying; if it works don’t try to fix it. However, I had a note from him last night to say he has now many of my plectra working in conjunction with crow in his instrument and cannot tell the difference. As I have put many years of thought and work into my jack making and making plectra from different material it is so rewarding to get an open opinion, such a help if your work is to go further and this is just a little public thank you to Dominic.
